Broccoli Season

Dreary and rainy autumn is upon us. Trees have gone golden and red in no time. This means we’re in peak broccoli season.

Picking broccoli is not as back-breaking as picking cabbage, but you get soaked real bad, it’s usually cold, and you have to roam the field for hours every day in search of flowers that are big enough for harvest. It is a manual job, so the next time you buy broccoli for dinner, think of those nice people who picked it for you on a cold morning the other day.
